You Are Mine
Isaiah 43:1–7
Jamie preached from Isaiah 43:1–7, reminding us that although Israel had failed repeatedly and chased after other gods, God still spoke over them with tenderness and authority: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name.” The same truth is spoken over us today. God created us, formed us, redeemed us, and calls each of us personally—we belong to Him.
Jamie drew attention to the word “when” in verse 2: “When you pass through the waters…” Not if. Hard seasons are inevitable, but God’s presence is guaranteed. Even when we feel unworthy, He chooses to love us. We don’t earn His grace; His love redeems us, and we are made for His glory. Jamie quoted John Piper’s reminder that “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him,” calling us to rest in the God who names us, stays with us, and leads us.
